College Outreach was founded by students to mentor students throughout the college application process..
Over the past three years (2006-2009) College Outreach has successfully launched programs at Yale University, Louisiana State University (LSU) and William and Mary. Through partnerships with local education leaders, these college-based programs have identified low income high school students interested in receiving a college education. While receiving mentorship throughout the college admission process by College Outreach mentors, some of our mentees were even awarded such merit based scholarships as the Pelican Promise (LSU). We look forward to the 2009-2010 academic year as more students than ever before will have the opportunity to benefit from participation in our program.
